The Boggabri Kangaroos face a tough assessment this weekend as they hit the road to take on Dungowan.
Boggabri will head to the Dungowan Recreation Reserve on Saturday to play a Cowboys side still smarting from a 42-26 loss to Werris Creek at David Taylor Park last weekend.
The trip has only been made harder with the loss of talented youngsters Brendan Gillham and Bailey Lennox.
The duo were injured last week in the Kangaroos’ 40-20 loss to Kootingal-Moonbi.
Rampling said his side was ready to go this weekend.
“We are looking forward to it,” Rampling said.
“We just need a bit more confidence but as long as we compete I will be happy.”
Boggabri’s under 18s and ladies league tag sides will also take to the field this Saturday.
The under 18s will be after another win after their impressive 34-10 win in round one while the ladies will be out to bounce back from a 44-4 loss to the Roosters.
Games kick off at 12pm with league tag followed by the under 18s and first grade.
