The Gunnedah Show is off and racing, with the first day done and dusted.
Friday saw pig judging, trotting, mini shetlands, show jumping and dressage.
The Griffiths Pavilion is bursting with creativity, with novelty cakes, horticulture, vegetable characters, knitting, woodwork, sewing, handicraft, Lego sets and produce.
On Friday night, the NVI will be livestreaming the announcements of the art and photography competitions and the showgirl competition.
The NVI will be moving about the showground, livestreaming the grand parade and snapping socials and events.
On Saturday, highlights will include fireworks, a working dog demonstration, animal nursery, rodeos and Just Dance competition. Locals are encouraged to get involved in the junior tug-o-war competition at 5.15pm, and after dark, the wife-carrying competition and senior tug-o-war, with $750 up for grabs.
On Sunday, there will be plenty of horsing around, with show jumping, Australia stock horses, horse ball and light harness.
