The school held its biennial Rainbow Ball in the Gunnedah South Public School hall, which was resplendent with colour.
The couple were presented to the matron of honour Lyn Norman and danced to tunes from musicians Steve McCauley, Trevor Stacey and Karl Harms.
School principal Sharne Turpin it was “another beautiful but absolutely fantastic, fun night”.
“We have chosen the theme of rainbow colours as white is not able to be worn often and we want our night to be colourful,” she said.
“Our students and their siblings are to be congratulated on their school spirit as ambassadors for our school. Thank you to Amy Willis for the delicious rainbow-themed cupcakes made for the participants. Thank you to all the families, staff and school community members who helped in any way.
“A huge thank you to Steve McCauley, Trevor Stacey and Karl Harms who performed a free gig for entertainment after the formal proceedings finished.”
