The club has “just on a full book” for the pairs tournament this weekend which is set to be an open affair.
Reigning pairs champions Dylan Eather and Sam Pryor will be back to reclaim their title and would be the team to beat.
However, bowls coordinator Scott Thorning said anything could happen on the weekend.
“There’s some really good sides this year, there’s probably 10-15 sides that could win it,” Thorning said.
“It [how far teams progress] depends on who you draw but Dylan and Sam won it last year. They’re both young and if I was going to have a bet I’d probably back them.”
The revamped Easter Tournament returned last year with great success after “a couple of years in limbo”.
The tournament used to have singles, pairs and triples competitions but changed to pairs and fours since being reintroduced.
The restructure has paid dividends according to club president Paul Lodge.
“It was very successful last year and that’s the reason why we’ve decided to go with it [pairs and fours] again,” Lodge said.
The pairs event will be played over Friday and Saturday with a calcutta to be held on Thursday.
Teams will play three matches on Friday and two on Saturday before the top four teams face off for a spot in the final.
The winner will take home $1600 with second winning $800 while third and fourth claim $400 each.
A calcutta for the fours tournament will be held on Saturday before the event starts on Sunday. Teams will play three matches with the top four going through to finals. The winners will take home $2400 with second winning $1200 and third and fourth claiming $600 each.
