Women’s bowls for the Gunnedah club has centred on the pennant competition for the past five weeks and the focus paid off.
The club was delighted to take out the Central Northern District Grade 4 Pennant Division for 2018.
This is the first time the club has won a pennant flag in the past 12 years.
The team will now progress to the Region 3 Playoffs on May 29-30 at Moree.
From Wednesday, March 28, the club’s focus reverted back to the local competition with a gala. Night bowls will cease for the season following the gala.
From April 4, following the end of daylight savings, bowls will commence at 12.30pm each Wednesday with names submitted by 11.30am.
Social bowls will also be played on April 4.
