A local social dancing group has been busy fundraising to help others.
Founded by Mary Donnelly 20 years ago, the group is active in the community, gifting $2000 to Yallambee Home for the Aged in 2017, and in 2018, donating $500 each to Can Assist Gunnedah, Gunnedah M.S Group, Angel Flight and Yallambee.
The funds are raised at monthly charity events, which attract dancers from Tamworth and Narrabri.
In previous years, New Vogue sequence dancing classes were run by Bill and Margaret Fox, and Tom Wilkinson.
Though founder Ms Donnelly is now 90 years old and no longer skims across the dance floor, she is still very much a part of the group, which still meets once a week on Tuesdays at Gunnedah Public School.
