It was Brad Jenkinson who moved past 50 in round one but on Friday evening Adam McGuirk hit three fours on his way to 53 not out to lead the Strikers to victory over the Imperial Hotel Tigers.
The partnership of the innings saw McGuirk and Jenkinson (48) – who hit six fours and two maximums – put on 62 together for the second wicket.
The Strikers racked up 5-134 after their 20 overs. The Tigers slumped to 5-31 in reply before James Mack (22) and Scott Clarke (17*) put runs on the board. However, the early losses were too hard to overcome and the Tigers were all out for 95.
The second game saw Sign Print Stitch romp home to a 99-run win over Tamba Industrial following a incredible spell from Farran Lamb.
After Sign Print Stitch made 6-130, the quick picked up 6-0 from two overs to lock up the big win.
