Quirindi High School students can head to the pool or the gym for free from January 1.
From the first of January, all enrolled Quirindi High School students will get free access to both Quirindi and Werris Creek pools and the Quirindi REC Centre.
Student will just need to produce their student cards to enter the facilities.
“The initiative is a partnership that focuses on the health and wellbeing of our student body at QHS as well as increasing our push to support local business and facilities,” Principal, Ian Worley said.
The trial - of access to the three community facilities - has been arranged to run to December 31, 2018, with plans to increase the duration if the trial goes well.
If enrolled students are already a member of the gym, they won’t need to renew from next month and those that have already paid for pool access won’t need to renew for the next pool season that commences around October/November next year.
As this is a trial, there are no refunds for enrolled students who currently have membership to the facilities.
