
Gunnedah will play host to a unique musical quartet on February 24.
The London Klezmer Quartet perform the celebratory and soulful music of Eastern European Jews and has seen great success in the United Kingdom.
The musicians will be hosted by Gunnedah Conservatorium.
"We are very excited to be opening our 2018 seasons with the London Klezmer Quartet, a band of international standing that is already popular throughout the UK, has had five sell-out tours in Australia, as well as performing in Brazil, Germany, Holland, Latvia, New Zealand and Switzerland, and has broadcast live on radio and televisions both in Australia and the UK,” conservatorium director Rebecca Ryan said.
"Our performance program is all about giving the Gunnedah audience the opportunity to see the ‘world's best’ entertainment without having to leave town.
“We allocating some of our NSW government funding to this program to make seeing a live music show affordable. We are very excited about the program we are offering to Gunnedah in 2018."
The London Klezmer Quartet will play at 7pm at Gunnedah Town Hall on February 24.
