Rural Fire Service vehicles from Carroll and the NSW Fire and Rescue team from Gunnedah attend truck smash which closes Breeza Road in Carroll.

A truck carrying a portable office struck a tree and power pole on Breeza Street in Carroll at around 10am on Friday.

The crash resulted in power lines being brought down sparking a grass fire in nearby grasslands.

Units from the Rural Fire Service in Carroll and Gunnedah Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene to help defend nearby properties and battle the grass fire.

Electricity was shut off at the scene and police closed the road and redirected traffic until the fire was contained around 12pm.

The driver of the truck did not need to medical attention
