Along with fellow Gunnedah-based player Kate Perrett, Carlyon will represent the Northern NSW Bears over-35 masters women’s side at the 2017 nationals at Coffs Harbour from Friday to Sunday.
Carlyon also competed at the 2016 nationals at Coffs Harbour, with the team knocked out in the semi-finals. They followed that performance with a runner-up finish at the 2017 State Cup at Coffs Harbour.
“I come from a touch football background,” Carlyon said. “I love Oztag … It’s been a great experience playing Oztag and having the opportunity to play with girls from Tamworth.”
Northern NSW will also send the following sides to Coffs Harbour: under-20 women, under-20 mixed, senior mixed and over-30, 40 and 45 men.
