Gunnedah Family Support Homebase, GoCo and Northern Inland Credit Union have teamed up to launch the Lay-By Your Bond initiative on Thursday at 5.30pm at The Civic.
Jess Blair from Family Support said the initiative will assist people of all ages move into new rental properties by helping them to save for the property bond.
The three local organisations are delighted to be launching this initiative.
“It’s a terrific idea,” Ms Blair said.
“Initially we help people that are wanting to move out of their current living environment and help them set a savings goal. Once they reach their goal, Lay-By your Bond will match that goal.
“This initiative is open to anyone that needs help moving out of their current living situation financially as well as offering them case management.”
All of Gunnedah’s real estate agents are also on board.
“It’s so great to have all of the town’s real estate agents on board, it really shows that everyone cares and wants to help,” Ms Blair said.
“The event is free to attend, there will be refreshments on arrival and we are hoping to see upwards of 40 people attend.”
Following the launch there will be a screening of The Pursuit of Happyness.
