The tiny silo was put up for blind tender by Denny’s Silos to benefit the Royal Far West charity
The hobby-farm sized silo worth $8430 had been donated by Denny’s Silos for a blind “offer for tender” at this year’s Agquip, with the proceeds going to the charity, which champions better health care options for kids from the bush.
The 8.5 tonne offset silo is used by small farms for grain or pellets.
Royal Far West’s Jacqui Emery said the charity was delighted with the silo sale, with the proceeds going towards programmes which can be accessed by children in the New England/North West and beyond. .
