The offensive slogans, which included “KKK” and the Nazi swastika, appeared in Greenfields earlier this week.
Within hours the “white power” vandalism had been sprayed over.
City of Mandurah chief Mark Newman said the City was disappointed by the “offensive act of graffiti vandalism”, and called on community assistance to stamp out similar racist attacks.
“I was saddened and disappointed to hear about this act of racist graffiti,” Mr Newman said.
“It is something that we will simply not tolerate in our community.”
The City’s graffiti removal team worked quickly to remove the vandalism on Friday morning.
“It is critical that graffiti is removed as quickly as possible so we can get on top of this scourge,” Mr Newman said.
“The City works closely with local police to tackle this issue but needs the community’s help in reporting incidents.
“I urge the community to report graffiti and vandalism as soon as they see it so we can act quickly.
“Please report any suspicious activities, no matter how insignificant, to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the City on 9550 3777.”
The City of Mandurah has a dedicated graffiti removal unit working full-time in removing graffiti and ensuring damage to Council property was repaired immediately.
The program includes the removal of graffiti from boundary fences and structures abutting public reserves and public access ways.
