Gunnedah GoCo and New England Partners in Recovery joined together to host a barefoot bowls and barbecue event at the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club on Wednesday.
The event, now in its second year, aims to raise awareness and provide support for people living with mental health.
GoCo co-ordinator Barb Heath said the event was also about having fun.
“It’s a day where people can come together and enjoy a fun day out on the green and to have a nice lunch together,” she said.
“A big thank you to everyone for coming and to Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club for the use of the greens.”
Teams were made up of clients from Challenge Disability Services, Sunnyfield, Billabong House, Gunnedah Workshop Enterprises, students from GS Kidd School and community members.
