Wendy and Bill Brady and Lennox and Ann Maree Waugh recently took their enthusiasm for koalas with them to a trip to Antarctica, wearing their Gunnedah’s Project Koala badges featuring Sunny the Gunny koala.
Gunnedah Urban Landcare Group’s Project Koala sub-committee met this week to discuss matters including a major revegetation project along the banks of the Namoi River.
The project will plant about 800 seedlings near the Gunnedah Sale Yards Travelling Stock Reserve through the NSW government’s Catchment Action Plan. A recent report commissioned by North West Local Land Services identified areas for tree planting.
