As well as the bus run organised by GoCo and travelling to the outlying villages of Gunnedah Shire, the library is seeking to engage with residents who may not be able to attend the library due to medical reasons.

On Wednesday, we will deliver bags of books to housebound residents in town. If you know of anyone who might benefit from this service, please speak with the library staff and we can make available to them the joys of reading or listening to books.
Likewise, if you are living, or know anyone in the surrounding villages at Tambar Springs, Premer, Mullaley, Curlewis or Breeza, and are unable to get to the library in Gunnedah due to illness or fragility and who would enjoy library books, please let us know.
The service is free, and joining the library is easy, a simple form, an indication of the type and number of books you would like to receive, and it’s done!
Please contact the library staff on 6740 2190 for further information.
New books added to the collection this week include 100 new large print books from the State Library of NSW. Gunnedah will hold these books for 12 weeks, and they are then exchanged for a fresh batch of titles. Genres included are mystery, western, romance, Australian fiction, and general fiction.
For parents teaching their children to tell the time with round clock faces, the library has several books, including Thomas’ Wonderful Word Book which has a section on telling the time with clock faces, and What Time Is It? a picture book by Julie Haydone which has a clock with hands that the children can move to different times.
See you soon at the library, or let the library come to you!
