Fourteen community and sporting groups received a slice of more than $33,000 at a presentation on Wednesday.
The Community and Sports Small Grants Program has been in place since 2006 and has distributed more than $285,000.
Among the sporting groups successful in their applications were Gunnedah Motoring Enthusiasts, who aim to enhance safety for the Gunnedah Hill Climb, while Gunnedah Cycling and Triathlon Club received funding for a junior participation program.
Curlewis Campdraft Club will purchase a tank and other associated items, Gunnedah and District Soccer Association will purchase goals, a net and a PA system; and Lake Keepit Sailing Club will use its funds for a new outboard motor.
Community groups included Mullaley Gymkhana Association, Emerald Hill CWA, Gunnedah CWA, Emerald Hill Progress Association, Gunnedah Family Support, TurningPoint Christian Outreach Centre, Plains of Plenty, Gunnedah and District Historical Society and Apex Club of Gunnedah.
