Jess Baker, Jess Kirkland, Laura Fulwood and Deanna Fulwood will take part in the Northern NSW Bears over 27 squad after they also took part in the corresponding event last year.
Jacqui Jones joins this year’s over 27 squad while Gunnedah duo Kate Perrett and Nichole Carlyon take part in the over 35 squad.
The Bears will contest the Wolves, Country Bulls and ACT on Friday before contesting the Metro North Marlins on Saturday, followed by the finals on Sunday.
Laura Fulwood recalled reaching last year’s finals before losing to the Country Bulls. She said it was a fantastic experience overall, and that “it’s completely different from a local competition”.
“It’s much faster, and it’s much more competitive,” Laura Fulwood said of the Australian Senior Championships.
The Bears have trained twice each week in Tamworth since early September in preparation for the event.
