President Coralie Howe presented a cheque for $200 to Mackellar Care Services to go towards their bus target.
The aged care provider aims to raise $100,000 to purchase a 12-seater mini bus with wheelchair access.
Funds for the bus currently sit at $36,728.19, with hopes of purchasing a second bus in the future.
GS Kidd Memorial School also received a visit from Ms Howe, who gave a cheque of $50 for the posters the students created on the CWA’s 2016 country of study, Mongolia.
Mrs Howe said students worked together to create posters each year and the cheque would assist with materials.
Ms Howe’s third stop was Sunnyfield, Gunnedah, where she presented a cheque for $50 to go towards their craft work.
The Namoi Group cultural and international day which was to be held at Wee Waa was cancelled because of flooding in the region.
The next group day will be the group conference which will be held at the Narrabri Bowling Club on October 26.
Members are reminded that their membership fee will be due at the next meeting on October 6.
An annual general meeting will be followed by the ordinary meeting.
Members are encouraged to bring along a sandwich and stay for lunch.
