Around 500 students took part, supported by their teachers and the Gunnedah Eisteddfod Society.
The event is held every two years, and this year featured a massed choir of 200 students and a 30-piece band with members from six schools.
“We had full houses for both the matinee and the evening performance,” producer Marg Amos said.
“It was certainly full of colour, bright songs, enthusiastic students and very willing staff.”
Mrs Amos said it was special that the musical directors, Jamie Brown and Emma Kersley, both tutored under Marie Spinx and Judith Walpole at Gunnedah High School.
“It’s always involved the public and the private schools which I think is quite unique for such a schools creative gathering,” she said.
“The students don’t always get to go on stage and it was like their moment in the spotlight and they loved it.
“We were all absolutely delighted with how it went.”
