The annual ceremony included the presentation of 13 awards before an audience of about 100 students, staff, family and friends at the West Tamworth League Club.
TAFE New England institute director Peter Heilbuth, who presented the awards, said it was an opportunity to commend students for their hard work and the dedication that led to successful learning outcomes, and the commitment of the staff who helped make it happen.
"I congratulate all students and staff nominees for achieving a level of personal, and professional, excellence," he said.
"We could not maintain our reputation as the leading training provider in our communities if it were not for the dedication, knowledge and commitment of our staff and the loyalty of our students."
Gunnedah's Abbie Rose Anderson was named School-based Trainee of the Year for her studies in the certificate III in business.
Other awardees were Tamworth's Daniel Bull, who was named TAFE New England Student of the Year, and Jane Chamberlain, who took home the honours for Teacher of the Year.

Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall, University of New England vice-chancellor Professor Annabelle Duncan and NSW TAFE Commission Board member and Tamworth Regional Council mayor Col Murray were among the guests.
