It comes as deputy prime minister and New England MP Barnaby Joyce continues to privately negotiate the agreement with prime minister Malcolm Turnbull.
While Mr Joyce slammed suggestions the Coalition agreement should be made public, Mr Coulton is confident he will negotiate a good deal for the region.
“The Coalition agreement is a high-level document that addresses policies and programs which aim to benefit all of rural and regional Australia," Mr Coulton told the NVI.
“I am confident that deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce will negotiate a good deal for all of our Nationals constituents, including the residents of Gunnedah.”
The sentiment followed the NSW Nationals team meeting informally in Mr Coulton’s office in Parliament House ahead of Tuesday’s party room meeting.

“We took the opportunity to welcome Federal Member for Calare, Andrew Gee to the team," Mr Coulton said.
“Also, because of the long election campaign, a lot of us hadn’t seen each other for a few months so it was a good opportunity to catch up for a quick coffee before the formal party room meeting.”
