The annual PCYC fund-raiser sees a group of locals from different walks of life “locked up” at Wolseley Park until they raise their $500 bail.
The jailbirds tried all sorts of shenanigans to increase their bail money, including busting out of jail and trying to attract the attention of passers-by.
PCYC Gunnedah manager Rhonda Smith said the PCYC was hoping to make $5000 through the event.
“The funds are not looking too bad at this stage,” she said. “We were quite pleased with the day.”
Mrs Smith said the PCYC thanked all its prisoners, who met bail and were turned loose, and other participants, including Rhana’s Academy of Dance, who provided entertainment.
