The 14s, 15s and 21 and under teams made the long journey to the coast for a Newcastle carnival.
All teams had tough games with the 12s going the whole day with only seven players and the 14s finishing with a number of injuries.
Coaches were impressed with the effort their players put in over the day and most teams came away with a win or a draw.
The Gunnedah 13s finished with the silver medal in their division at the Armidale carnival.
“It was a great result for an inexperienced team,” Gunnedah Netball Association (GNA) secretary Jackie Small said.
Rebecca Bulley and Natalie Von Bertouch will be holding coaching clinics today at the basketball stadium.
“Gunnedah Netball is extremely lucky to have two such high profile players, both former Australian Diamonds players, willing to come out to the bush and we encourage all players aged 11 and over to attend,” Small said.
“GNA needs our netballing community to support this event especially the older players 15 years and over.”
Clinic participants are required at the basketball stadium approximately 15 minutes prior to commencement time to sign on.
The 11 to 14 years run from 5pm to 6.30pm and 15 years and over 6.30pm to 8pm.
