A FEATURE documentary on mining in the Maules Creek area is being filmed by freelance cinematographer, Dujon Pereira.

Mr Pereira has been working on the independent production for about four to five months and said he was investigating both sides of the story of “one of the most controversial mines in the country”.
“I want to capture the community’s opinions of both the positives and negatives of mining in the area and create a balanced piece,” Mr Pereira said.
Mr Pereira is putting a call out to business owners, members of the community and mining companies to have their say, either for or against, for his film.
“If people are interested to give their opinion, I welcome them to contact me,” he said. “I want to hear the positive benefits of the mine as well.”
The film is set to be released in January, followed by an east coast tour, including Narrabri and Gunnedah.
