With just two rounds to go, Small described this weekend as a crucial match.
"Especially with not playing many games, it comes down to a must win. If we lost one now, we really don't have a hope [of playing finals]," Small said.
Small added: "Tamworth's always hard to play but we've got a good bunch of blokes. We'll go there and give it a good shake."

Gunnedah welcome back Troy Sands, Brody Cleal, Henry Johns and Rhyce Kliendienst to the side for the clash to be played at Tamworth No. 1 Oval.
Also in the XI will be Mitch Swain who was the star of the show in Gunnedah's only match this season.
The Old Boys captain scored 72 in the washed out match against Narrabri.
"Swainy's in this weekend. He's coming off runs against Narrabri and he's on home soil over in Tamworth. He knows all the boys he's playing against and hopefully he comes and stands up with the bat," Small said.
