The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is inviting the community to brighten up the spirit of Christmas and inviting locals to join Council's Christmas Lights Competition.
Council is offering a $50 prize for the winning entry in each of the four categories: Best House, Best Business, Best Lights Display and Best All-Rounder.
Christmas is just around the corner and many locals like to join in the celebration by decorating their homes with beautiful Christmas displays.
Council would like to encourage the community to join in the festive spirit by adorning their homes, business premises and community organisation premises with Christmas lights and decorations and entering the 2021 Christmas Lights Competition.
Entry forms can be obtained at the Council Administration Centre, the libraries at Werris Creek and Quirindi and the Visitor Information Centre at Willow Tree.
People who wish to enter can also send an email to Council at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning 6746 1755 to have one sent out to you.
Entry is free and will close on Friday 10 December. Entries will be judged in the following days and the winners will be announced at Christmas on the Plains on Friday 17 December.
Get into the festive mood, decorate your house, garden, street or store and bring extra Christmas cheer to the Liverpool Plains.
