The sales will bring in $9 million in income and is a vote of confidence in the community as far as councillor Russell Webb is concerned.
"That in itself will tell us and anyone in the community that it may have been a brave decision by the council at the time to spend the money we did, but it was certainly the wisest decision we made and we can stand in good stead looking at the businesses that are coming here and those that might come in the future," he said.
The council has given the general manager the power to sign a $500,000 to $1 million contract to relocate high voltage power infrastructure while in caretaker mode ahead of the December elections.
Sales for Stage Two of the development are booming with several lots on hold and strong interest from a large group looking to relocate from Sydney and purchase 100,000 square metres of land next to the Intermodal site.

Mayor Col Murray said the project will be a game changer for the city.
"The growth and development that we will see out there over the next 20 years will change this city forever," he said.
"It will bring many more jobs, more diversity, higher paid jobs, small manufacturing jobs, there's not much bad to be said about that project.
"There's a great range of purchasers and enquirers for that land. We are getting inquiries from some very, very large companies to relocate to Tamworth - enquiries and sales from local businesses upgrading and new businesses that have never been here before."
