Team members at Forsyths donate money from their salary, which is then matched dollar for dollar by the firm, and disburse it between Gunnedah, Inverell, Armidale, Coonabarabran and Tamworth.
Forsyths operates in each of those locations, and gives $2000 to a group in each place, on top of giving one group within the region $5000.
Their choice for Gunnedah this year was the domestic violence refuge for women - Allawah Cottage.
Construction on the refuge began on June 16, following a lot of campaigning and fundraising.
This year, the recipients of the major donation was Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Tamworth, who were given the cheque on Wednesday morning.
The RMH provides care and comfort for seriously ill children and their families, with more than 150 per year using the facility which has five bedrooms and two play areas.
Foundation committee member Megan Ellbourn said the decision to give RMH $5000 came down to the support they provide to the region as a whole.
"The decision was made to give the donation to RMH based on the service they provide to the wider community where our offices are located," she said.
"Obviously the house is located in Tamworth but families from all over our region get the benefit from it so we saw it as a way to contribute to the wider community."

Tamworth house manager Rhiannon Curtis said she was thrilled with the donation, and it would go a long way to helping locals.
"We try to provide as much as possible to families so they can focus on getting their child well and home again," she said.
"We provide toiletries, gifts such as colouring books, puzzles, activity packs, and food for the patient as well as their siblings.
"The $5000 will provide over 30 nights of accommodation for families who travel hundreds of kilometres for healthcare - which includes all that we provide to make them feel welcomed, safe, cared for and comfortable."
This is foundation's seventh year of providing annual funding for local charities, and it has grown substantially, having originally only been able to provide $1000 donations.
The other not-for-profits which have received the $2000 this year are Meals on Wheels (Tamworth) and Royal Flying Doctor Service (Coonabarabran), while Inverell's is set to go to the Inverell Rescue Squad and a decision is yet to be made for Armidale.
