FIVE new police officers are set to join the ranks across the New England North West from next week.

The new probationary constables will begin their policing careers on Monday after their pass out parade in Goulburn on Friday.
Four of the new police will be posted to positions across the New England Police District, while one new officer will hit the beat in the Oxley Police District.
The five are part of 19 recruits posted west of the Great Dividing Range in the Western Region, and from a class of 192 officers who graduated.

It comes after eight months of study and training at the NSW Police Academy.
The officers now complete 12 months of on-the-job training while they study their degree before they're designated the rank of constable.
"As they begin at their new stations from Monday, I am confident they will step up to the challenges faced by our officers every day and play a vital role in keeping NSW safe as we enter the second half of 2021," NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said.
"A career in the police force offers many opportunities and rewards, so I want to encourage our newest officers to enjoy and be proud of the crucial role they play in our communities."
