But with it has come some dangerous conditions, extreme wind and falling branches and trees.
Mount Kaputar National Park closed to the public on Thursday, June 10 due to the snow event and severe weather conditions.
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Services advised the park will gradually re-open once the road is safe for vehicles and any tree hazards have been assessed.

For visitors wishing to make a trip up the mountain over the next few days it's suggested they call the National Parks office on 02 6792 7300 first to check if the road is open.
There are penalties for non-compliance with national parks closures.
