"Hopefully on Saturday we get away with no injuries and have the numbers to back up on Sunday," said Gunnedah FC coach Andy Cygan.
Gunnedah host fifth-placed South United on Sunday.
Gunnedah FC have been bolstered this season by the presence of three overseas players, Bruno Perroni, Bautista Burgos and Karl-Lembit Usta.
Cygan described their influence as "massive". Their performances were "brilliant", he added.
Sadly, all three will return home within a month, leaving a void for Gunnedah to fill.
"We're just trying to get as many points as possible on the board," Cygan said.
He added: "The back half of the season, we're just going to have to persevere and have people step up."
Cygan said Gunnedah FC were "expecting a tough task" against South United.
"If we can win both games on the weekend, that will put us in a really good position," he added.
