The project has a budget of $600,000. This is comprised of $370,000 from a Roads to Recovery grant and $230,000 obtained through the Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program.
These are both Federal Government grants that LPSC successfully applied for.
"The Centre Street upgrade will provide for better stormwater runoff and subsoil drainage which will improve the lifecycle of the road pavement and kerb and gutter with a design standard for a minimum lifespan of 40 years," LPSC Mayor, Councillor Doug Hawkins said.
"Council thanks residents for their cooperation during this project."
Cr Hawkins said council is undertaking the bitumen seal project Stage 2 on Callaghans Lane with financial assistance it successfully applied for through the NSW Government's Fixing Local Roads Program.
