Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said an Expression of Interest (EOI) was now open to construction companies to carry out the work as part of the NSW Government's Transport Access Program.
"We are upgrading stations at Gunnedah, Moree, Narrabri, Junee, Cootamundra, Taree, Grafton, Casino, Griffith, Queanbeyan and Dubbo to make it easier for all customers to access the stations - and we want to see local businesses and suppliers delivering this work which will create about 500 jobs," Mr Toole said.
"These projects represent an investment of about $13 million and we want to see as much of that money as possible money going straight into the pockets of local businesses to help keep regional economies ticking."
"We're seeking a variety of goods, services and materials for the upgrades, and I'm encouraging local businesses in these towns to register their interest and get involved.
"We've already seen almost $600 million committed to TAP upgrades in regional NSW since 2011, with more than 470 projects either completed or currently underway across NSW.
"Projects like these build on our vision to help make public transport a first-choice option for people living in the bush and build a safer, stronger regional NSW."
TAP upgrades deliver modern, and integrated transport infrastructure that is more accessible for including people with a disability, limited mobility, parents and carers with prams and customers with luggage.
