Cygan said he had the services of two Argentinians and a Frenchman - who operated in the midfield - and an Estonian defender. All four men work in the solar industry.
"They're some of the best players I've seen," he said, adding that they "just seem to lift everybody" but are due to leave town at the end of next month.
Gunnedah FC have started the season with two impressive wins (they beat South United 4-1 in round one).
Cygan, who is keeping this year, praised his side's defensive efforts.
"We conceded a lot of goals last year, and aimed to tighten it up at the back [in 2021]," he said.
Rankmore, 17, "just wants the ball all the time", Cygan said, "and obviously loves scoring".
