In Gunnedah, only light showers were recorded as 1.6mm came down at the airport over Saturday and Sunday, with 1.4mm of that falling on the latter.

There was even less further south in Quirindi, with only 1mm being recorded but none on Saturday, Monday was shaping up as a wet one though with 47mm coming down by 11.15am.

Despite not receiving a drop until around 2.30 pm on Sunday, Narrabri Airport copped 23mm by the end of the weekend.

It was the country capital that felt the wet weather the most though, more than doubling Narrabri's total to reach 56mm - which all came on Sunday.

More than 360mm has come down since the beginning of December in Gunnedah, making it even wetter than the summer of 2007-08.

Narrabri received even more in that time with the skies opening up to the tune of almost 400mm.

Thanks to a wet March Quirindi breached that mark and currently sits on 412.6mm in that timeframe.

Tamworth came out comfortably on top though, recording 464.8 which was largely thanks to a couple significant storms and a total of 223.6mm in December.
