Boggabri will hit the Oxley Highway to take on Unicorns on Saturday in senior men's and ladies league tag matches. The Roos have been training since mid-January and are hungry for game time.
"It's going alright. We're getting steady numbers and we've got some new players on board and a lot of old ones have stuck around. It's a good mix out there," Boggabri coach Shane Rampling said.

He added: "We're looking forward to playing games. Training's great but the actual physical contact - going out there and getting amongst it - is what you look forward to."
Boggabri has recruited well for the 2021 season with a focus on bringing in outside backs.
"It's an area we wanted to strengthen and we've done that," Rampling said.
"We've picked up a couple really handy players.
"We've always had a decent forward pack but lacked a bit of depth out wide."
Rob Condron is the latest outside back to join Boggbari after coming down from Narrabri, Rampling said.
Condron, along with the rest of the playing group, will be fighting for positions in the upcoming trial matches.
"All spots are up for grabs," Rampling said.
"We'll trial some players in a couple of positions.
"We've still got a fair while before the first competition game and hopefully we can fit in a couple more trials before then."
Rampling said the Roos were scheduled to take on Dungowan in mid-April but the coach was also trying to lock down another trial by the end of March.
One date they won't be playing a trial on is March 20.
The Kangaroos will be holding their season launch on that date at the Boggabri Golf Club. The golf day costs $25 a head and tee off will be at 2pm with a barbecue to follow.
Meanwhile, Rampling said the Kangaroos were also keen to welcome new players to the club.
"Any other players sitting on the fence or thinking about coming down to training - now's a good time to do it," he said.
