Mum Lisa Warren said when she saw the email pop up with the Ronald McDonald Dance For Sick Kids, it was a no brainer to sign him up.
"We recently had a party for him, and there was dancing and karaoke, and he had an absolute ball," she said.
"I saw the email and thought, we'd love to host an event to help someone else. So I spoke to my hubby, registered yesterday, and now the rest is history."
The call out is for Tamworth and Gunnedah residents to raise money by dancing over a period of days in May to raise money for sick kids.
Individuals to dance troops, community groups to schools - anyone and everyone is invited to pledge to dance between 30 to 120 minutes per day for one week, with registrations now open.
The value of the services provided by the Ronald McDonald House is something the Warren family know all too well.
"We've actually stayed, 22 years ago when my daughter was born preemie in Newcastle, at Ronald McDonald house for nine weeks on and off," she said.
"It's a fantastic place for kids and families to stay together while they are going through those tough times," she said.

The Warrens are planning to host a dance event in May, and have set their fundraising goal for $320, which will be enough to cover one family for two nights at a House.
"Obviously if we get more than that we would be absolutely over the moon," she laughed.
