Opening bowler Garry Briggs (2-14) had Rowan Keeler and Myles Conn both out for ducks in quick succession on Saturday before Mark Ewington (3-11) took over.
Kookaburras Himasekhar Jingilipalem backed up his last knock of 46 for Kookaburras with 39 from 32 balls in the weekend's game.
He was one of Ewington's three wickets as Kookaburras finished at 9-61 from 20 overs.

"It was a good day for us. We bowled well, took lots of wickets and everyone did their job. We had good plans," Albion captain Brad Cady said.
In reply, Albion lost just the one wicket - that of Damien Baldwin - in the chase.
Baldwin and Cady combined to score the bulk of the required runs before Andy Mack came out to help finish off the match for Albion.
"The wicket was keeping slow and low and we just wanted to just bat. We knew it was a low score, and we just wanted some time in the middle get used to the wickets."
In the other match, Court House opener Oscar King blasted 56 from 35 balls to set up victory for his team.
Damian Blinman (3-24) was the pick of the bowlers for Mornington as Court House made 8-129.
King was supported by Blake Small (24*) and Kyle Gallen (19).
Mornington reached 8-73 in reply as King tried to one-up his batting effort.
He finished on 3-9 from his four overs as Andrew Johns (19) and Aidan King (18*) top-scored for Mornington.
Saturday's performance from Oscar King backed up his scintillating display from the night before.
Playing for Imperial Hotel in the Gunnedah Premier League, King smashed eight sixes and three fours in his knock of 77 from 47 balls.
Jason White (3-11) tightened things up late for Sign Print Stitch but the damage had already been done by King and Osmond (40).
Sign Print Stitch were then bowled out for 58 with Peter McCormack (4-26) leading the way with the ball.
The other game saw McDonalds score a close win over Karen Carter.
After Hayden Baker carved out a quickfire half century (57 from 37), Karen Carter finished on 4-133.
Adam McGuirk did the bulk of the run-scoring with 58 from 46 balls and McDonalds the scored the winning runs with six balls to spare.
Aidan King (5*) and Briggs (8*) steered the side home to 8-134.
