WHEN it was revealed last month that More than Burgers would be opening its doors in Gunnedah in early February, it was made pretty clear the public could hardly wait, and from next Tuesday (February 16) they will no longer have to.

The dine-in and drive-thru burger restaurant will be located in the new Viva Energy (Shell) Service Station on Stockman Close off the Kamilaroi Highway, and will no doubt face some serious traffic for its grand opening.
Owner Shane Waters is looking forward to the big day and is expecting a lot of people, with many members of the public having told him him they were growing tired of what the big fast-food chains in town had to offer.

"They're all saying they've been waiting for another drive-thru food outlet to open in Gunnedah so they said it's good there's another option aside from McDonalds and KFC," he said.
"So they're excited they can come and try something else."
Mr Waters has found his required his staff, and has a team of seven people who will be operating the site.
He was pleased with the skillset of the successful applicants, as he had previously stated he wanted to make sure everybody there was already experienced.
