During a rare visit from NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Deputy Premier John Barilaro on Friday, the Liverpool Plains SES were officially handed over the general purpose vehicle at a ceremony in Tamworth.
Ms Berejiklian and Mr Barilaro were joined by Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson to meet with local SES and RFS crews and thank them for their commitment over a difficult 12 months.
The politicians also handed over a new tanker to the Tamworth RFS.

Unit Commander Liverpool Plains Shire SES, Inspector Frank Turner, said the vehicle, valued at $100,000, was greatly needed as the previous vehicle was 17 years old.
"This one is more modern and contains technology to make our job helping the community a lot easier," he said.
"It's more reliable and comfortable for the volunteers, it's safer, and it contains a lot of the equipment that we haven't previously had access to.
"Every SES vehicle has capability for basic flood rescue however this vehicle is better equipped and has modern lighting that doesn't use as much power as the old-fashioned lighting used to."
