This local production has no answers but has been created in Gunnedah 2020 and put the spotlight and some of what this year has brought with it from the relative safety of the Gunnedah Town Hall. Unashamedly local, this is a new work created just for Gunnedah at this time.
Following the success of its amateur theatre productions; 'Secret Bridesmaids' Business', 'Chicago' and 'The Narcissist', Gunnedah Conservatorium is proud to present 'COVID. We're Over It!'

Gunnedah Conservatorium director Rebecca Ryan said the idea for a cabaret emerged from several different directions at the same time.
"It was an idea that I have had for some time - that cabaret or a review-style show would appeal to the Gunnedah audience and may even be something of interest to the network of small halls," Ms Ryan said.
"When COVID-19 hit and we watched theatres all over the world shut down over night. Larnie Christie, who directed our last three major productions, had the idea that we could tap into some of those networks to build our local theatre skills. The timing just seemed to be right."
With funding from Gunnedah Shire Council's community resilience program, Gunnedah Conservatorium was able to lock in a creative team comprising of director Kate Gaul and production designer and art director Jasmine Christie to spend a weekend in Gunnedah to work with local artists during July to kickstart the project.
The show will be held on November 27 and 28 at the town hall. Tickets are $30 each or $180 for a table of six people. It is rated MA15+
