Not a member of the library yet? Just come in, fill out the simple application form, show some proof of address and you'll be able to access all the library's eResources, borrow books, magazines, DVD's, CD's and graphic novels.
You can search the library catalogue by subject, author or title, narrow down your search and read a short description about each item.
When you find an item that you would like to borrow, you can reserve it online. To do this, select the item/s by ticking the box beside the title and then click 'reserve selections' at the bottom of the page. You will be asked for your member ID, which is the barcode number on your library card, and PIN, which is your date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy). You can reserve up to 5 items online. You will be sent a letter to let you know when the items are ready for you to pick up.

Having a library card allows you to access member services on the online catalogue.
Member services is a handy tool to help you keep track of the items you have borrowed. Logging in using your member barcode and PIN (dd/mm/yyyy) will allow you to see a list of items you have on loan and the date they need to be returned. You can extend the borrowing period for your items if you need them for longer and you are able to see whether any items you have requested are ready for you to pick up. You are also able to see a list of all the items you have borrowed in the past, just in case you want to recommend one to a friend!
There is a link on the online catalogue to the State Library of New South Wales website where you can search the catalogue of items held by the State Library, read about upcoming events, browse their databases or access eBooks and audiobooks. Access to databases and eResources will require you to log-in using your Gunnedah library membership card.
Another link on the online catalogue will take you to a list of the eResources that are available for library members to use free of charge using their library card.
