A man charged with putting another in hospital after an alleged drunken assault on the weekend, has faced Tamworth Local Court.

Raymond Tony Caban, 28, was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm after an alleged assault on Sunday at around 1.15am, in Willow Tree.
Oxley Police officers responded to reports a 28-year-old man had been assaulted by a man known to him at a home in Willow Tree, around 20 kilometres south of Quirindi.
A NSW Police spokesperson told the Leader that Quirindi hospital notified officers when the man presented with serious head injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital and was airlifted in a critical condition to John Hunter Hospital after being placed on life-support.
He currently remains in a serious, but stable condition.
Officers arrested Caban at the Willow Tree home at 4.50am on Sunday and took him to Tamworth Police station where he was charged and refused bail.
Caban was refused bail on Monday, and his case is set to appear before Tamworth Local Court for mention on November 23.
