The branch has numerous fundraising events planned, as well as many animals that are looking for their forever homes.
Branch president Linda Taylor, who has taken over from the late Cheryl Sharman, wants Ms Sharman's legacy to live on by continuing "to focus on the welfare of animals".

She is hoping many locals will do the same by supporting them at the Christmas markets at Wolseley Park on Saturday, November 21.
"We'll be going from the morning, then having twilight markets from 3pm-8pm. Hopefully we'll be having lots to sell and doing a raffle or a 100 club," she said.
They are also holding a garage sale at 415 Conadilly Street on November 28.
"Anybody who has any donations they'd like to give us to drop in like blankets, money donations, or anything they think would help out, we're more than happy to accept," Ms Taylor said.
"They can ring the branch via 0419 474 689 or drop it into 156 Barber Street."
As always, there are also many cute puppies, kittens, dogs and cats, waiting for adoption.
There will be five cattlecross puppies available from Monday, November 9, which will all have their microchipping, first vaccination, and desexing done.
"The mother was rescued from the pound. She came in on September 12 and produced her babies on September 14," Ms Taylor said.
Ms Taylor said there were also a "million kittens" waiting to be picked up and loved.
Anyone interested in donating to the RSPCA branch or adopting a new family pet can call Linda Taylor on 0419 474 689 to make arrangements.
