ONE man has been taken to hospital after he had to be freed from a truck wreck near Narrabri on Tuesday afternoon.

A Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) team from Narrabri and ambulance paramedics rushed to the scene of the truck crash on the Newell Highway, about 15 kilometres south of Narrabri, just after midday.
FRNSW said it appeared two trucks had collided with each other, before crashing off the road and into bushland.

The driver of one of the trucks had to be extracted from the wreck by emergency services.
The man was treated at the scene for minor injuries, and was taken to Narrabri hospital by ambulance.
It is understood he was in a stable condition.
Traffic travelling that stretch of the Newell Highway has been affected in both directions since the crash.
Emergency services, a heavy vehicle tow truck and Transport for NSW remain on the scene, to clean up the crash site and render the road safe.
Live Traffic NSW updates show motorists should expect intermittent closures in both directions for vehicle recovery.
