The 20-strong squad was selected from the Northern NSW Pathways Challenge held in Tamworth over the long weekend where McIlveen padded up for the Northern Inland Gold side.
He was one of five local players to feature in the carnival with Henry Johns and Alasdair Hewitt joining him in the Gold side and Aidan (AJ) King and Peter McCormack playing for the Black side.

McIlveen said it was great to be back out on the field and playing some cricket, and was pretty happy with how he went over the three days.
"There was some bits of the game that could have been better, but it's only early in the season," he said.
He is excited now to get into the season proper and hopefully see his labours over the off-season pay off. Looking to, particularly, really improve his bowling, most days after school he headed to the nets.
He also worked on his match fitness.
As for the season, he will again play his club cricket with South Tamworth and also suit up for the Gunnedah under-17s rep side.
The final Bradman Cup squad will be finalised in mid-November.
