On Sunday the club held the first heat of the club championships.
Sailors arrived with wetsuits at the ready due to the chilly start to the day, but the competition heated up out on the water.
The first race was a warm-up event, youngster Tim Caslick claiming line honours in his slick A-class catamaran. Kevin Overton took first place in his laser radial, the ever-green veteran sailor also winning the first to start placement.

Overton continued his good form in the first heat of the seven race series for club champion.
Racing was again very closely contested with the top four laser dinghies finishing within three minutes of each other.
The placings were the same as the morning race with Garrett taking second and Kelly third. Robert Cull was fourth with junior laser sailor Patrick McLean fifth while Caslick again recorded the fastest time.
Sunday's official season opening will include lunch and sail past, followed by the Commodore's Cup.
Visitors are welcome but must adhere to social distancing regulations and there will be no more than 20 allowed inside the club top deck.
