Tamworth's goaball team is getting excited for the upcoming competition, which will see them pitted against the best from the New England.
The Regional Sports Weekend will be held on October 4 and 5, with goalball, blind and vision impaired tennis, blind cricket and blind golf set to take the town by storm.
Louise Carriage volunteers full time as a referee for goalball.
She normally travels all around Australia to referee national games every October, as the state's teams converge to battle it out for the highly-coveted title.
We are unable to travel so we have planned this multi-sports event for the region to come and take part in.

COVID has halted that this year, which brought on the regional games.
"We are unable to travel so we have planned this multi-sports event for the region to come and take part in," Ms Carriage said.
With nine players making up Tamworth's goalball team, she hopes they will head off to the national games next year.
"Next year we would like to see our regional players gain a spot ...[have a ] team in these games," the Tamworth-based mum said.
"We have some fantastic players in the making!"
